1. I used the Clone Stamp Tool to remove the crane on the right hand side of the image, as well as some of the small details on the tops of the buildings. This was done to make sure the sky could be selected and separated from the buildings to then later be edited.
2. I replaced the sky with a new image and adjusted the colour. The colour of the buildings were also made to match so they didn't look out of place.
3. I took an image of a meteor and removed the background using the Magic Wand Tool and the eraser. Again I matched their colour to the rest of the image and placed them over the sky.
4. The same process was used to add pillars of smoke to the image. I also used the Warp tool to make each smoke pillar look slightly different.
5. I used a photo of a destroyed building and and blended it into some of the buildings already in the image, making it look like some of them had structural damage.
6. The last thing I did was add shadow around the edge of image to improve composition.
